Recently Michael Voris and Matt Pearson paid us a visit because they wanted to help support our consecrated life, as well as promote Nonnavita, our organic soap. Watch the video below to see how much fun we had!
Spring cleaning time…that means we have to dust the cobwebs off this blog, which has been awfully quiet of late. But we, the Franciscans who move at the speed of Carthusians (s-l-o-w), have been at work on a new Facebook page, so head on over and check it out. And, just like on our radio show, we thought we’d give you some extra incentive to like and share Texas Nuns on Facebook by giving away several gift baskets of Nonnavita Soap. Click the pic to find out how to win!.
Do you want to start your Christmas shopping early, so you can enjoy a peaceful and prayerful Advent? Then come down to the MOPS Market tomorrow, Saturday, October 25 from 1-5pm. Date: Saturday, October 25th, 1:00 – 5:00 pm
Location: University United Methodist Church

Good afternoon, everyone! It’s a rainy Wednesday here in San Antonio (for which we are so grateful), and while we’re glad we didn’t have to venture out into the storm today, we do miss all of you, and look forward to being back on the air next week. This week Guadalupe Radio Network is having their Fall Share-a-thon, so if you have not yet had the opportunity to pledge your donation, please do it today! This Catholic radio station is only able to stay on the air because of the generous support of faithful listeners like you. Click here to donate now.

It’s official – we LOVE Comfort! Saturday was a great day – not just because our soap was a success, but because we met so many wonderful people. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us and Nonnavita, we are so grateful to each and every one of you. We will be talking about this day for a long time to come, and we feel privileged to have had the opportunity to meet so many kind and welcoming folks.
Check out our cool gifts from Jesse at the Comfort Chamber of Commerce (that’s him in the photo with us):
The next time you’re in Comfort and need a pick me up get yourself over to High’s Cafe and Store for coffee and a scone (and there’s plenty more on the menu if you’re hungry). You’ll soon find out why it’s the most popular spot in town. Denise and her crew will make you feel so at home, you’ll forget you’re from out-of-town. Thank you so much, Denise, for so graciously inviting us to set up shop at High’s during the Fruhlingsfest. We had a blast!
We’re going to be at High’s Cafe and Store this Saturday, April 5th, with lots of Nonnavita Soap! Please come and visit with us, sample some soap, and enjoy a nice lunch. This event is in conjunction with the Comfort Fruhlingsfest, a German celebration of spring. Come and enjoy live music, arts and crafts in the Comfort Historic District from 10am to 3pm. Can’t wait to see you there!
